For fifteen years now, KAMIT NATURAL FOODS has been an advocate of healthy life choices and a wealth of information to the community. In 1995 its doors were opened to Charlotte's westside and Dr. Ama Bey extended her practice of teaching diet, nutritional supplementation and mediation as a means to establishing health and wealth.
At first Kamit's community grew solely by word of mouth and the testimonies of a few individuals who experienced healing from making the prescribed lifestyle changes. Today the store is growing faster than ever with the help of its new marketing team, community program director, and knowledgeable sales associates. In fact, because of Kamit Natural Foods' devotion to the good health of all that enters its doors, its influence has grown and now it seems impossible to call it just a "store". entire families come for health consultations, seniors citizens dance the night away in our cardio class, and men seek counsel on virility and longevity, while young women flood the store for conscientious prental care.
In addition to Kamit's traditional health classes, in 2009 we began hosting the Body of Balance and Westside Cultural Arts programs. Body of Balance is an exciting fitness program that boasts a yoga/pilates class, as well as aerobic and Latin dance classes. Westside Cultural Arts is a cultural arts program that teaches African, ballet, and modern dance forms to inspire children to become a new breed of artists.
This unique community outreach seems unparallel...and yet there is more to come. In addition to unveiling powerful new herbal formulas, and cutting edge diagnostic tools, Kamit Natural Foods has started a Neighborhood Farmer's Market and an all new mineral made up line, just to name a few.
